What VaultCat Stores
VaultCat stores the information needed to run your account and your backup vaults. That may include your account identifier, name, email address, profile image, plan, vault names, social platforms, custom social sources, handles, URLs, descriptions, notes, timestamps, deletion records, IP address, browser or device details, request metadata, billing event records, and administrative audit records.
We do not ask for social media passwords, recovery codes, government IDs, payment card numbers, or other secrets. Do not put passwords, private keys, seed phrases, or highly sensitive personal data into vault entries or notes.
Data From Service Providers
VaultCat uses Clerk for authentication, Polar for checkout and subscription events, and service providers for database storage, caching, logging, abuse prevention, and related operations. These providers may process account, billing, technical, or event data so VaultCat can authenticate users, apply plan access, process payments, operate the service, and protect against abuse.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide your vault workspace, keep data scoped to your account, enforce plan limits, sync subscription state, answer support requests, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, improve reliability, and meet legal or security obligations.
Sharing
We do not sell your vault content. We share information only with service providers needed to operate VaultCat, when you ask us to provide support, when required by law, or when needed to protect VaultCat, users, payment systems, or the public.
Security
VaultCat uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect account and vault information. These safeguards include access controls, account-scoped processing, abuse prevention, request verification, secure communications, and monitoring for service reliability and security.
Retention and Deletion
We keep account and vault information while your account is active or while needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, maintain billing records, prevent abuse, or comply with law. Some records may remain in backups, logs, audit tables, or payment provider systems after deletion where needed for security, recovery, compliance, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Your Choices
You can update or delete vault content inside the app. For account, privacy, access, correction, or deletion requests, contact [email protected] from the email associated with your account so we can verify the request.
Children
VaultCat is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as VaultCat changes. If the update materially affects how we handle personal information, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice through the app or the contact information associated with your account.
